An estate, in real estate, is an interest in land measured by some period of time. It refers to the degree, quantity, nature, and extent of interest a person has in real property. There are different types of estates, each differing from another with respect to the rights and duties of the owner.
This property is an effort of conservation. My formative years began in this region not far from here at the age of six. I was born in Montreal 1964 . As I have gotten somewhat older my heart and soul has been able to return to this portion of the Canadian Shield for only some time of the year.
This area’s history dates before the Confederation of Canada. Lanark County was designated by British government as landing region for immigrants in 1812.
In keeping with tradition and respect for the biosphere, efforts of the people, Indigenous and European who came to this land, I dedicate my efforts to His Majesty the King of Canada, Charles III.
Artistic, Musical and Literary Influences and Atmosphere
There are a few immersive computer games and their music soundtracks plus some classic literature that have had a profound effect on my real world creative work.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Oblivion, and it’s antecedent Oblivion. The musical scores by Jeremy Soule provide atmosphere and adventure. The story lines, art and music while fantasy are a place I can go for refuge from my day job. The Estate is the place I go for adventure, creative work and to be alive. Creative work is the balm.
Other major influences are Tolkien’s books, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and the accompanying musical scores of all three movies by Hans Zimmer.
